Wont buy again

I bought it on Black Friday and thought it was a good deal. Admittedly I didnt do a lot of research butits a microwave how bad can it be? Installation was pretty easy except the last step where two screws are to go through the bottom of the cabinet into the top of the microwave but the microwave has no threaded nut or anything to secure the screws. I thought I had bought a faulty unit so I called customer service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE no one knew what I was talking about they couldnt verify if there was supposed to be threading they suggested I file a missing parts claim even though they couldnt tell me what the parts would be they suggested I hire a professional the hard parts were already done. Finally I tried just using the screws as braces and apparently thats the intended method the weight of the microwave just rests on the top two screws and the bottom rear bracket. Doesnt make a lot of sense to me but Ive learned to not buy LG again. As for performance its 1000 watts just a little less than my old one 1100 but I dont use it for big meals so its not a problem. Cook time needs to be entered manually theres no quick buttons for minute increments like many microwaves have. 1=1 minute 2=2 minutes

Nice Microwave with many features

We are enjoying this new microwave. Our last one was 20 years old. The features are nice on this one and the stainless and black colors match our other appliances. The fan is very high exhausting out the front top while heating anything. This unit comes set to expel air from the top front but can be set up for rear or rear top exhaust also. We did try to melt butter with the melt function and we stupidly did not cover the bowl. Anyway my mom is short and cant see into this installed microwave and let it run until it exploded all over the inside of the microwave. 1/2 stick of butter was completely blown out of the bowl. So we learned that the non-stick interior is a great feature too - It took some damp towels and sponges and then a microfiber towel but it seems like we got all of the butter out. It does not smell like butter when we use it now fortunately. The light inside and underneath is very bright. This unit DOES NOT have a built-in timer feature which seems odd. But we use Alexa or Siri or our timer on our stove now. This may be a safety feature as I know with our old microwave my mom once thought she set a timer but actually ran the microwave empty for a few minutes maybe thats why our old microwave died? We are enjoying it so far and I hope you enjoy it too.

The clock is flashing and so called tec support they sent a new replacement I opened the box before I had to transport it 3 hours and found out they packaged a damaged LED display and still wating for some kind of confirmation of my money refunded and its been 2 weeks and crickets Will not by LG ever again

We never were confidant as to WHEN the technician was going to show up when he did show up he had the work skills of a gorilla. He was admittedly over extended and overbooked.. when present he tore packing/boxes open and strew materials about in the kitchen.. At one point he dumped a can full of screws bolts an d washers directly onto our newly finished wood floor.. when actually working he did seem to know how to make the repairs.

Bought it 15 months ago. Always had to heat longer than normal. Clock display you could see flashing numbers behind the actual time displayed. Microwave totally went out three months after warranty expired. I was told a repair visit would be more expensive than the microwave itself. Not happy with this purchase.

Have used it about 2 months and it works ok. I hate the alert ring if I do not open door or clear it after about one minute post heating. I like the cooking guide printed inside. I would also have liked an instruction manual. All the sounds of the microwave are too loud including the door closing.

Missing a few key features

Purchased this microwave about 1 year ago to replace one of a different model that we have had since 1998. The microwave was well priced for the features that it had and looked great in our kitchen. Installation was pretty easy. I would say that overall the microwave worked as expected for the first 6 months except that the light under the microwave which would light up the range was rather than. I replaced it with a brighter LED bulb and that seems to resolve the issue. At around 6 month mark the display died. It flickers on and off but it is pretty much useless. About 2 months later the interior light died. Ive been very satisfied with my LG purchases up until this point. I am going to second-guess purchasing an LG going forward.

Best experience buying an appliance in my lifetime

I bought this microwave about a month ago and was skeptical of the offered price. Had gone to a big box store but they didnt have one in stock. If I had ordered it they would have delivered it to my house but would have charged shipping. I went to LGs website and shipping was free. To my utter surprise it was delivered to my door by two men who brought it in the house and THEN proceeded to say they were going to install it I can assure you I have been bragging about this experience to everyone. Purchased the product in June. Had it installed in mid July. Had a few odd incidents where it didnt seem to heat things up properly that we chalked up to user error until it completely stopped working in mid October. Smelled awful completely blown out. Called support. Had a technician out here yesterday a week later. I will say he communicated throughout the wait wanted to get parts before seeing the microwave and the looked at it and decided he needed different parts. Now we wait ... again. If this thing was 5 years old Id maybe understand but we havent even been using it for three months
